According to tax records, Lot 45 was not laid out until about 1890, when it was owned by George Feiock, who built a house on it about that time ($150). About 1920, it was split into what, for convenience, I have called 45a, 45b and 45c. Lot 45a was in the name of Stella (Schreader) Claus and Adolph Claus, who was the father of Frank Claus, Stella’s husband. By about 1925 ($1200), Frank and Stella had built a house on Lot 45a. In 1930 Lot 45c was split off and sold to Jacob Stimpert, who built a house ($1485). Houses on Lots 45a and 45c still exist in 2007; however, the house on Lot 45b was removed in about 1953.
